Description

The Relationship Research Institute was created by Dr. John Gottman to foster research on couple relationships, parenting, and families. This freestanding organization is committed to conducting innovative state of the art research. The goal of the institute is to study relationships including but not limited to: love relationships between adults, parent-child relationships, sibling relationships, friendships, and family-community relationships.

RRI Works To:

• create a legacy of meaningful research of the highest scientific rigor.
• conduct responsive research for immediate needs and everyday lives of men, women, and families.
• create research that can be used to inform public policy and institutions working with families.
• assure that research findings are accessible to the public and to members of the scientific community. In order to promise that the public receives high quality research-based advice, the RRI collaborates with the media and publishes in professional journals, professional presentations, books, and papers.
